Please Help Build Neighborlies

So many of you have helped us distribute our Neighborlies (emergency relief food bags) to our homeless and hungry neighbors, and we thank you.

Now we need your help assembling a new batch of Neighborlies!

We will meet on Friday, April 23rd, at 9am at the SAME Cafe at 2023 East Colfax Avenue, Denver 80206, to build a new batch of Neighborlies. It is easy, and many helping hands make the work go fast!

While we are assembling, we will tell you a little bit about the partnership between Stigma and the SAME Cafe. The cafe opens to the public at 10:30am, so come hungry and stay after we assemble for an early lunch. SAME Cafe creates a unique menu everyday with gourmet-quality culinary inventions. This is no soup kitchen. Eat at SAME Cafe, and you’ll be an instant supporter of their mission to create community through food with dignity.

There are so many ways to help us crush the stigma of addiction, hunger and homelessness, and we hope you will be a stigma fighter on Friday the 23rd by volunteering to help us assemble Neighborlies. Totally optional – for a three dollar donation to SAME Cafe, you can include a “free meal token” in a Neighborly. It is a nice surprise for the recipient, and a delicious way to support the missions of Stigma and SAME Cafe.

Due to COVID prevention limitation on numbers inside the cafe, please send Matt an email to confirm your spot on Friday, April 23rd at 9am. Also, please wear a mask while we assemble.

Let’s crush the stigma and feed our neighbors!
