Open Mic Night

Do you have a story that your soul is itching to share? How about some poetry that is poised to land on eager ears? Do you play an instrument, sing, dance or tell jokes? Please join us for an Open Mic Night at SAME Cafe (2023 E. Colfax, Denver, 80206) on Thursday, February 24th from 6pm to 8pm. We would love to have you attend even if you decide not to step up to the mic because…

Every artist deserves an audience!

You don’t have to perform to get a ton of great mojo from this evening of vulnerability and bravery. There is nothing more bold and captivating than watching others share their stories in whatever artistic format feels most empowering.

The evening will feature our writers from The Story Writing Workshop hosted at SAME Cafe every Thursday from 9am to 10:30am. Our writers are selecting and polishing their best work written over the past year or so. I get to hear their stories every week, and I can assure you that you won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear their honesty, vibrance, self-depricating humor and moving life stories.

If you want to support our mission to crush the stigma, but you’ve been looking for an opportunity that’s a good fit, this might just be your chance. Come and listen or share – either way you are showing the stigma that its time is up, because the people are taking the stage and speaking their truths.

Our partners at SAME Cafe will be providing complimentary snacks and beverages, and admission is free for performers and supporters alike. Come enjoy an evening of spin-free, nonprofit honesty that will help restore your faith in humanity. Your souls and your taste buds (have you ever eaten any of SAME Cafe’s food?) will thank you!

There is no need to register. Please share a link to this page with your friends. If you have any questions, call me at 303-204-1412, or email me at [email protected]. We hope to see you on Thursday, February 24th at 6pm at SAME Cafe!
